In this episode Charelle and Karina talk all shows spooky (and queer). Please note there are spoilers for all the shows discussed!
Starting off with the Top Five. Karina chose Never Let Me Go (Thailand) today, the story of Nuengdiao (played by Phuwin Tangsakyuen) and Palm (played by Pond Naravit Lertratkosum), two eighteen-year-old young men from very different backgrounds. The genre is gangster/mafia, rich guy/poor guy, with lots of action, coming of age, and romance.

Side note: Viki has teams for every show who are in charge of doing the subtitles in all the languages they make the shows available in (which is A LOT). They name each team - adorable. The subtitle team for NLMG is called “Babysitting my future husband” which is the funniest shit ever.
Charelle chose Good Omens (UK/USA), which is also on Karina’s list. An angel and a demon find themselves in a bit of a pickle when they realise they have misplaced the antichrist and go about trying to find him whilst also attempting to stop the coming armageddon. The angel Aziraphale is played by Michael Sheen, and the demon Crowley is played by David Tennant, alongside an amazing cast - the cream of the crop of British actors, with a sprinkling of excellent actors from the USA. The genre is fantasy - in case that wasn’t clear.
Now to the spooky shows. Karina is a self-confessed scaredy-cat and Charelle is a recovered scaredy-cat. They share the spooky shows they’ve enjoyed over the years. Charelle talks about The Haunting of Bly Manor at length and Karina bemoans her scaredey-cat-ness as the story sounds really good.
Hope you enjoy the foray into these spooky shows. What are you watching this spooky season? Tell us in the comments!
